Just Put Down the Camera and Write Already!

I don't get the deal with all these bloggers putting up video blogs. Do they really think that their rambling on and on about the same damn drivel and B.S. everyone else is spouting is going to improve their ranking or drive traffic to their site? Is it going to make anyone MORE interested to see their dumb asses make fools of themselves. Ah! I think I've just answered my own question. Everyone likes an idiot they can laugh at. It makes us feel better about our own lives. As if that really makes a difference in life.

Don't get me wrong. I think adding video to a site is a great idea for catching attention and generating stickyness (no, not THAT kind of stickyness! You sick bastard!) Aside from the occasional god awful ugly puss just made for radio, people generally like seeing the faces of other people. And, yes, the men enjoy looking at the fair female form. Put a scantily clad hot girl in a video and you can get people to watch just about anything! But so many of these so called bloggers and internet marketing hacks out there have bombarded the space with so many worthless, inane videos that I almost leave a site immediately when I see that familiar video box on a website. So do the world a favor. If you can't put up quality video, put down the camera and pick up the pen, er, key board. If you are going to make a video blog, for God's sake make it interesting and say something worth a damn! Either that or put a hot babe in a thong gyrating about in the background as you drone on!
